Today was my second day of doing research! I'm enjoying it, but that's nothing new, I usually enjoy spending time in the lab. I love the research mentor that I chose; she's very helpful and fun to be in the lab with. I've never taken a class from her because this is her first year at PLU. I'm really glad that I'm getting to know her.
I'm working with lots of icky chemicals, so I have to wear gloves and change them often to protect my hands! I love them.... because they're purple. :)
I'm also required to wear goggles and a lab coat. And as you can see, you really have to channel your inner nerd to do chemistry!
I also get to take lots of detailed notes about what I'm doing. :)
And meet my lab buddy, Hettich (must be pronounced with a German accent). He's my trusty centrifuge. He's kind of shakey at times and old school, but he always get the job spun.
I'm excited to see how far I get in the project by the end of the school year!
"He always gets the job spun." OH MY GOODNESS! I laughed so hard. You're cute and I am glad that I get that pun. On chemistry. Oh centrifuge in open lab that some people didn't know how to use which resulted in their tube coming out and yeah, LOUD NOISES! LOL.
