All of you have probably heard by now, because we've been telling everyone we see, but at our ultrasound we found out that we're expecting a
BABY GIRL!
We are so excited! We would have been just as thrilled with a baby boy, of course, but it is so fun to finally know. It feels good finally say things like "she's kicking", instead of referring to her has the baby. They were able to get the perfect shot to tell us that she is definitely a girl. :)
We have no clue what we are going to name her, and we're okay with that. We still have plenty of time to figure it out and we probably won't be sharing until her arrival!
According to my due date, I was 22 weeks and 3 days at the ultrasound and Miss Baby Wiggles was measuring perfectly again. Right down to the day. They estimated that she weighed one pound and one ounce on Friday, right where she should be.
If you were wondering about the possibility of twins that the OB mentioned a couple of weeks ago... there was definitely one baby in there. I'm measuring large because of extra amniotic fluid. The ultrasound tech and radiologist didn't seemed concerned about this, only said that she has plenty of room to grow. I'll be talking to my midwife about it tomorrow though.
The ultrasound was really interesting! We got to see all the bones they take measurements of and the chambers of her heart. She looked like she was talking because she was moving her lips a whole bunch. It was also neat to see her kicking and moving her arms on the screen while feeling her move at the same time!
