I can't believe I'm nineteen weeks today! Only one week until the halfway point. Eek!
I was thinking about adding a belly picture to this post, but I haven't taken one yet. Maybe I'll update and add one later...
I got to chat with the hubby this morning, so I'm in a pretty good mood right now. I think we both still feel like, 'I can't believe we're going to have a baby!'.... maybe me a little bit more than him. At this point, I don't think I'm going to start feeling any differently until Baby Wiggles is actually here. It sure makes my heart go pitter-pat to listen to Michael talk about how excited he is for our little one and for us to become parents. I am so anxious for these chats to be an everyday part of my life! :)
I've been feeling the baby move for almost two weeks and it is crazy how different the wiggling and rolling and kicking and jabbing feels now. The baby was kicking so hard on Christmas day that I think someone else could have felt it with their hand on my belly! Kicks like that don't happen very often yet though.
I haven't had any major cravings yet. I've been loving my lactose-free skim milk, dried fruit, popcorn, and cucumbers! You are supposed to drink a ridiculous amount of water when you're pregnant, so while I'm at the house I'm constantly carrying around and refilling my glass of water with a straw in it. Food that did make me sick, like apples and eggs, are usually safe to eat now. I also feel like I want certain foods because I can't have them or can only have them in moderation. Like seafood and sushi and cold lunch meat and soft cheeses! Sigh.....
Our little one is the size of a mango now! How tropical!
The Bump talks about how the baby's skin is being protected from the amniotic fluid this week, and I didn't feel I needed or wanted to read about it after I did, but if you're interested you can click the link!
