Eighteen Weeks

This was written today! I'm finally caught up. :)

I'm actually eighteen weeks and two days along as of today. I doubt if any of you noticed, but my baby updates aren't always written one week apart or on Tuesdays, which mark the beginning of a new week in my pregnancy. I try my best though.

This has been quite an interesting week for me and I have lots to update on!

Last Friday I definitely started feeling the baby move. Just a little bit, but it is getting progressively easier to notice movements. I can feel the baby "kick" -- who knows what is actually going on in there-- all day long now and Baby Wiggles seems to be getting stronger quite quickly! Although it is fun to finally feel the baby, I find it so strange.

On Saturday, I started experiencing a new symptom: vertigo. It doesn't seem to bother me when I'm holding my  head straight up, but if I'm laying down, look up, or bend over to pick something up, the room starts spinning. It wasn't so bad for the first two days, but it is starting to bother me more. I've thrown up twice because of it, but at least it isn't the morning sickness coming back. I just get kind of sea sick while on solid ground.

When I was getting ready to head to base yesterday, I realized that it was the first day I actually felt like I looked pregnant. I ended up changing my shirt because the first one I put on made me look "too pregnant". Ha. Michael wanted a picture of course after reading the email I sent him explaining this.

So I took the first picture of the baby belly last night and I hadn't really planned on posting it on here, but I'm feeling a little less shy about it after Michael told me he showed his friends ("You showed other people?!"). I have to tell you that I look way more pregnant in this picture than I thought I would.

I don't think that my belly is nearly as noticeable in an outfit that I would normally wear in public. I feel like it kind of showed up overnight.

The Bump tells me that Baby Wiggles is about the size of a sweet potato now and very mobile.
According to What to Expect, my center of gravity should start shifting this week because my uterus is about the size of a cantaloupe and getting bigger by the week!
