The Tenth Month

My blog has pretty much turned into the Lucy blog. I'm okay with that. I hope you are too. One day I'll be glad that I've taken the time to write down a little bit about her each month while she is growing so quickly. And holy moly is she growing!

My baby is ten months old now. Only two months away from a whole year! I really need to get to party planning. :)

We had a fun day for her ten month birthday. We went to the Co-op in Moscow for brunch and grocery shopping. We also picked out her Easter basket while we were there.

After that, we headed to the park, one of her favorite places!

She enjoys the swing a lot more than she used to! We tried out one of the little baby slides this time. She was all smiles the whole time. It was a bit chilly with the wind so Michael put her in his jacket when we were walking around. Lucky girl.

We were able to spend all last week in our home town for Michael's spring break and while we were there Lucille had a check-up. She now weighs 15 pounds and 15 ounces. According to the doctor she is healthy and reaching milestones early!

Her favorite foods are oranges, raisins, cucumbers, and kamut puffs (which are basically sugar smacks with nothing on them). She is getting pretty good at drinking water out of open cups and with straws.

She now can take two steps in a row! Yay! And she can stand up in the middle of the floor without using anything to pull herself up with.  She is starting to repeat more words, but we aren't sure if she really understands what they mean. Common words for her right now are mama, dada, up, and hello.

What does ten month old Lucille enjoy?
Cuddling with mommy in the morning (She started being extra cuddly this past month. I love it.)
Playing outside
Meal Times
Swimming in the tub
Toys that roll
Blanket forts and boxes (I think she would totally love one of those kid tunnels!)
Throwing toys out of her wagon
Stealing socks from the dryer and putting them in her wagon
Playing peek-a-boo (She likes to initiate it, she'll hold a blanket in front of her face and move it away really fast. Then you have to say 'boo' because that is how it works)
Brushing her teeth
